We will be now declining membership to those who do not read the join rules. =P Consider this practice for real life. You need to get into the habit of reading instructions, especially when submitting. Not reading them is how you get jacked on contracts, like, say your apartment and your job. (Such as the You will not allow a third party to arbitrate for you, but instead choose one that the [apartment] chooses) In which case you're screwed.

Writers need to do this more than anyone else on the planet to get published, or if you have no plans towards that to land a job, etc without finding out you didn't get benefits like they said in the interview. READ INSTRUCTIONS. It's a life skill.
We will from now on decline people who do not follow submission guideline 4.

You can take it as harsh practice to read submission guidelines if you intend to be published. OR you can take it to mean, read guidelines to a job before submitting an application. Either way, it's good practice.

In other news, I got a job!

I've been busy, but I will get to the critiquing example soon. ^_^ When I get a break...

And please, please follow submission rule 4. I'm not joking when I say I'll reject you from now on if you don't follow it. I put in submission rule 4 to make critiquing easier for EVERYONE. So please, just do it. It's a copy-paste dealie, right? Not hard.
fav.me/d2mwl1z <-- this is a Tutorial I made.

Are there any other questions on how to critique? Is there anything specific you'd like? If someone wants an example of how to critique in a thorough manner (a style) I'm willing to do it if a few people will be guinea pigs for the project so I can show how to break it down. (If you're interested, Comment).

I'd love to up the amount of critiques given so we can get to the major feature of this group: Featuring by nomination for the best improved draft.
We have several people who submitted their work to the group, but very few people are actually in the group taking the initiative to critique other members. I respect that we all have time issues, but if you want a critique on yours, you have to give one in the first place.

I've done a few rounds to get started... and a few of you have critiqued...

So if you have issues on how to critique, comment this journal. If you just lack time, that's fine, but sometimes even a slight note like, "I'm busy I'll come back to critique this" might help too.

I'd like to create a more open community where we aren't phobic of each other. ^_^

Do I have to do the grade school teacher thing and ask people to introduce themselves?

So please critique away. If you're clueless, say so. ^_^
